How to Re-stream a TikTok Live to Facebook Using OBS (Free 2025 Guide)

Guide to re-streaming a TikTok livestream to Facebook using OBS Studio software

Do you want to expand your reach by re-streaming your TikTok live to Facebook? This article will guide you step-by-step on how to do it easily and completely for free using OBS Studio software. Additionally, we will also introduce GoStream as a simpler and more professional alternative.

Detailed Guide Using OBS Studio (Free)

Step 1: Prepare Your "Toolkit"

Before you begin, make sure you have all of the following:

  • ✔️ TikTok & Facebook Accounts: Ensure these accounts have livestreaming permissions.
  • ✔️ OBS Studio Software: Download and install the latest version from the official website obsproject.com.
  • ✔️ A Stable Internet Connection: This is the most crucial factor for an uninterrupted livestream.

Step 2: Configure OBS to Capture the TikTok Live Source

2.1. Create a New Scene

Open OBS Studio. In the "Scenes" box (usually at the bottom left corner), click the "+" icon to create a new Scene and give it a name (e.g., "TikTok Live").

2.2. Add a Source

In the "Sources" box right next to it, click the "+" icon and select "Window Capture". This is how OBS "sees" and records content from another window on your computer.

2.3. Select the TikTok Live Window

After selecting "Window Capture," a properties window will appear. In the "Window" dropdown, select the browser window or Android emulator that is playing your TikTok live. Click OK.

2.4. Adjust the Frame

You will now see the entire TikTok live window on the OBS preview screen. Drag the corners of the red frame to crop out the excess parts (address bar, toolbars, etc.) and keep only the livestream video portion.

Step 3: Get the Stream Key and Connect to Facebook Live

3.1. Access Facebook Live Producer

On your Facebook Fanpage or Group, select "Live Video". In the new interface, choose "Go Live".

3.2. Get the Stream Key

Select "Streaming Software" as the source. Facebook will provide you with a Stream Key. Click the "Copy" button.

Warning: ABSOLUTELY do not share this Stream Key with anyone!

3.3. Configure OBS

Go back to OBS, navigate to Settings > Stream. Select "Facebook Live" as the Service and paste the Stream Key you just copied into the "Stream Key" field. Click "Apply" and "OK".

  2. In OBS Studio, click the "Start Streaming" button.
  3. Go back to the Facebook Live Producer window, where you will see the video preview from OBS.
